Donation data: when you donate, our payment processor Stripe collects your name, email address and payment details. Your card details never touch our servers — they are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider.

Cookies: two are functional — your language choice and your suggested currency — so the page appears in your language on your next visit; they contain no personal information. The Meta pixel described below also stores cookies in this browser: an anonymous browser identifier and, if you arrived from one of our ads, the identifier of that click, which we keep for up to 90 days and use only to attribute the donation to the right ad.

Usage analytics: we use Microsoft Clarity and PostHog to understand how this page is used — which sections are read, where people hesitate, and where the donation flow breaks. This records anonymous interactions (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and page views) along with technical data such as browser, device, approximate location and the page you came from. Clarity masks the text you type into forms, and neither tool ever receives your card details — those stay with Stripe.

Advertising: this page carries the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram). It records which pages you open and whether you start or complete a donation, so we can measure which ads actually bring donations and reach more people like you. When a donation is completed, our server sends Meta the same event together with your name, email address, phone number and address, encrypted (hashed) beforehand — Meta uses this only to match the donation to the ad that was clicked, never receives it in readable form, and never receives your card details.

Clarity and PostHog are not used for advertising, and we never buy, sell or trade personal data. Blocking these scripts in your browser or with a tracker blocker does not stop you from donating — and you can turn off personalised ads in the settings of your Facebook or Instagram account.

Stripe, Inc. — our payment processor. Stripe processes your payment data under its own privacy policy and acts as an independent controller for fraud prevention.

Vercel Inc. — our hosting provider, which processes technical data (such as IP addresses) needed to serve the page and detect your country for language selection.

Microsoft Corporation (Clarity) and PostHog, Inc. — analytics providers that process usage data on our behalf.

Meta Platforms, Inc. — the advertising platform behind Facebook and Instagram, which receives the events described in section 2 to measure our campaigns.

We share data with no one else, except where required by law.

Our service providers may process data outside the EU/EEA and the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by recognized safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Donation records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law in our country of registration. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request. Functional cookies expire after 12 months.

You have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.
